OKINAWA MARTIAL ARTS ACADEMY, Okinawa Martial Arts Academy popularly known as the OMAA was formed in the year 1977 in Hyderabad by S.Srinivasan a young graduate (B.A Economics) from the Madras University. The Okinawa Martial Arts Academy (O.M.A.A) is the first Martial Arts University with its International Training Headquarters at Hyderabad, India and Affiliated Centers all over the Globe.
As a pioneer of Karate in India, the Okinawa Martial Arts Academy was formed in the year 1977. Within a few decades of its inception, the O.M.A.A has become the largest and the most popular Martial Arts Institution by attracting more than 1000 Affiliated Centres all over India and abroad. OMAA is a registered member of Karate India Organisation (KIO) which is recognized by the World Karate Federation and the WKF is recongnised by the International Olympic Committee.
The O.M.A.A is the first of its kind that brings all Instructors under one roof to ensure proper co-ordination amongst different karate schools and to develop a feeling of fraternity and friendship amongst various karate Instructors.
